Reflections

It is just a mirror, true.
But not an ordinary one, you see.
For not only does it reflect the me I want to be,
it also shows the person I long to see.

Although, the reflections are blurred.
Somehow, they are wrong,
a mockery of my reality.
Could it be they are distorted?

I say, what does it matter?
Inside the mirror is an alternate reality for me.
Though it is a life I can never live,
it is one that is meant for me.
